What happens on the initial free phone call?I will ask you to briefly explain your situation and why you are seeking counselling. This is your opportunity to ask any questions and to see if you will connect with me. It is also important that I have experience with your issues and if not, I will refer you to another therapist. If you are happy to proceed, I can then book you in for your first session.

How many counselling sessions will I need?You can try one session to see if it helps you, there is no obligation to continue. Most clients have 4-8 sessions, however some need long term therapy with no limit. Your goals and needs will be discussed at regular intervals.

How long is each session?Each session lasts approximately 50 minutes. I will send you a reminder the day before your therapy.

How much does session cost?£50 per session paid in advance via bank or cash on the day. £60.00 after 6pm and on Saturday's. Some £40.00 consessions are available.

What happens if I need to cancel?Please give a minimum of 24 hours notice otherwise the full fee will be charged.

What happens at my first session?At your first session you will get the chance to talk in detail about what brings you to counselling. It will give you the opportunity to discuss goals to enable us to work together to focus on taking control of your situation. You are under no pressure, you can discuss what ever you wish and we will go at your pace.

Do you practise under an ethical code?I am a registered practiitioner with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and I work to their ethical codes.
